Position: Dartmouth Anaesthesia Assistant Role
Location: Hants County (Shubenacadie)

Be part of the dedicated team at Nova Scotia Health as an Anaesthesia Assistant based at Dartmouth General Hospital. This full-time role supports patients throughout their anesthesia journey.

You will work closely under the direction of an anesthesiologist, providing essential support in various healthcare settings. A Registered Respiratory Therapist with certification in Anesthesia Assistance, you'll ensure that all necessary resources are promptly available for optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support anesthesiologists in clinical care activities

• Ensure anesthesia equipment is well managed

• Facilitate patient clinical management effectively

• Maintain availability of anesthesia supplies in service areas

• Operate efficiently in 24/7 anesthesia settings

Requirements:

• Must hold a Registered Respiratory Therapist license

• Registration with Nova Scotia College is necessary

• Anesthesia Assistant certification required

• Two years of respiratory therapy experience preferred

• BLS-C (HCP) and ACLS certified
