As the Physiotherapy Assistant, you will assist your supervising physiotherapist in implementing tailored treatment plans in a residential care setting.

Your role requires you to perform prescribed treatments, lead exercise classes, and maintain a safe environment for residents while ensuring open communication regarding their health progress. This position is essential in supporting the wellness and therapeutic needs of seniors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver treatments like gait and balance training

• Organize and lead exercise classes for residents

• Ensure the safety and cleanliness of treatment spaces

• Record treatments using a proprietary system

• Report any changes in resident status promptly

Requirements:

• PTA/OTA diploma or Kinesiology degree

• Previous experience in long-term care settings is an asset

• Current Vulnerable Sector screening check

• Tuberculin clearance documentation required
