Home Support Worker​/Caregiver

Location: Brant and Norfolk (Waterford)

Description  We are looking for one responsible home support worker/caregiver to help take care of an elderly person with a disability in Norwich, On.
Work in employer’s/client’s home, Public transportation is available, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.

Terms of employment  Full time, Permanent
Wage  $22

Hour @ 30 – 44 hours per week
Target Audience   Persons with a disability
Elderly
Female
Education  Secondary (high) School Certificate, College or other courses related in home support, First aid certification is preferred
Work experience  Six months work experience is preferred
Job duties   Administer bedside and personal care
Assist clients in water (i.e. pool)
Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder)
Feed or assist in feeding
Change non-sterile dressings
Provide personal care
Provide companionship
Plan therapeutic diets and menus
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
