Mental Health Social Worker - Nova Scotia

We are searching for a dedicated Social Worker with a Bachelor’s degree and relevant clinical experience to support our Recovery Support Centre.

Your role will include individual counseling, crisis intervention, and case management within a multi-disciplinary team. Skills in harm reduction and a deep understanding of the social determinants of health are key for this impactful position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform screenings and assessments for clients in need

• Develop tailored treatment and discharge plans

• Facilitate effective crisis interventions and group sessions

• Act as a liaison to community resources and services

• Provide case management and navigation support

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Social Work, registered with NSCSW

• Two years' relevant clinical experience

• Strong skills in suicide and risk assessment

• Knowledge of community development methods and resources

• Experience in brief intervention and motivational interviewing
