Role Description
The Clinical Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based in Belleville, ON, responsible for delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care. This position involves dispensing medications, providing clinical consultation, and ensuring prescriptions are reviewed for therapeutic appropriateness, interactions, and contraindications. The Clinical Pharmacist counsels patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence, while collaborating with prescribers and other health care professionals to optimize treatment plans.

Day-to-day responsibilities also include overseeing compounding where applicable, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting regulatory and corporate compliance, and contributing to health promotion and disease management initiatives within the pharmacy. The role involves mentoring pharmacy team members, supporting operational efficiency, and helping maintain a positive, inclusive environment for patients and colleagues.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy, including dispensing, medication review, and regulatory compliance.

Strong skills in Pharmaceutical Care and Medicine, with the ability to provide clinical consultation and optimize patient therapy.

Experience with Compounding, following applicable standards and safety protocols where required.

Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Pharmacist in Ontario, in good standing.

Excellent communication and counseling skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to diverse patient populations.

Strong attention to detail, clinical judgment, and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment and support a respectful, inclusive workplace.

Previous experience in community or clinical pharmacy is an asset; additional certifications in clinical specialties are beneficial.
