Planned Parenthood Lab Scientist Position

Location: Peterborough County and North Hastings County (Lakefield)

Take on the role of Clinical Lab Scientist at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles in Long Beach. Provide essential laboratory services while contributing to comprehensive patient care.

In this pivotal role, you will perform a range of lab tests, analyze specimens, and communicate findings to clinics within a thriving health center. You are expected to ensure that laboratory operations meet licensing and CLIA standards while supporting our mission of accessible reproductive health services. This position also requires you to engage in ongoing quality assurance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and process laboratory specimens for results

• Report findings and provide follow-up support as necessary

• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations

• Assist in maintaining laboratory supply inventories

• Engage in quality management initiatives and documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline

• Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license preferred

• At least two years of clinical lab experience

• Capable of working Saturdays when necessary

• Strong skills in problem-solving and compliance
