Part Time Clinical Support Technician

Be a vital part of UNC Health as a Part Time Clinical Support Technician, combining nursing assistant and health unit coordinator duties in pediatric care. This role supports children, ages 2 days to 18 years, in a dedicated acute care unit.

The position requires a high school diploma and certification as a Nursing Assistant I in North Carolina. You will engage in direct patient care, clinical support tasks, and essential clerical duties. Maintaining patient rooms, facilitating communication among health care providers, and ensuring accurate documentation are key components of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support physicians with routine exams and equipment procurement

• Review patient records for significant changes and report to nurses

• Manage clerical tasks, including transcribing orders and maintaining records

• Assist with direct personal care and vital signs measurement

• Reinforce patient education and document understanding of instructions

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• North Carolina Nursing Assistant I certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Essential verbal and written English fluency

• Willingness to develop computer skills if necessary
