Position: Certified Medical Assistant at UNC Health

Become a key member of UNC Health as a Certified Medical Assistant in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This onsite role supports routine clinical tasks in a top-ranked family medicine center.

As a Medical Assistant II, Certified, you will assist providers in an outpatient clinic setting, contributing to patient care for diverse populations. With responsibilities ranging from collecting vital signs to managing clinical records, your role is vital in delivering exceptional patient services. Your expertise will enhance teamwork in a fast-paced clinic environment while ensuring all patient data is accurately maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform rooming and intake processes, including vital signs

• Assist providers during examinations and procedures

• Review patient medication lists and allergies

• Collect specimens and administer medications

• Maintain and prepare exam rooms with necessary supplies

Requirements:

• Certification as a Medical Assistant by a recognized body

• Basic Life Support Certification from AHA or ARC

• At least one year of full-time Medical Assistant experience

• Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to document in electronic medical records
