Patient Care Technician

Position: Patient Care Technician at Fresenius Medical Care

Join Fresenius Medical Care as a Patient Care Technician, providing essential dialysis therapy with a focus on patient education and safety. This role requires strong technical skills and adherence to best practices in patient care.

As a key member of the dialysis healthcare team, you will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse while directly impacting patient satisfaction and outcomes. Your responsibilities include operating hemodialysis machines, evaluating vascular access, and documenting treatment parameters. You will also participate in continuous quality improvement programs to ensure the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines

• Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy

• Document vital signs and treatment information accurately

• Assist with patient education and transitional care

• Ensure a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required

• Experience in a patient care setting preferred

• Certification in CPR necessary

• Understanding of dialysis treatment protocols

• Ability to lift and move patients as needed
