Support communication and independence as an Intervenor in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, using American Sign Language or Signed Exact English.
Sensity provides services to members of the deafblind community. This full-time position supports individuals with dual sensory impairment in home and community environments. You will assist with daily living, personal care, communication, and individual goals while receiving in-house training.
Key Responsibilities:- Support individuals in home and community environments
- Use communication techniques to relay information
- Assist with personal hygiene and meal preparation
- Provide personal care, transfers, toileting, and medication administration
- Complete documentation, records, and program development activities
- Relevant college diploma or certificate in human services
- Experience supporting developmental disabilities and challenging behaviours
- Experience supporting people with mental health conditions
- Communication skills in ASL or SEE
- Class G license, reliable vehicle, and clean driver's abstract
