Provide advanced emergency medical care in Maidstone as an Emergency Medical Technician, using assessment, treatment, and transportation skills.
This part-time regular position serves Maidstone Health Complex through EMS and the Collaborative Emergency Centre. The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician provides pre-hospital and community care while following medical-service standards, policies, and legislation. The position requires strong communication, interpersonal skills, and independent judgment.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to service calls according to dispatch instructions
- Assess ill or injured persons
- Treat ill or injured persons
- Transport patients requiring medical care
- Provide pre-hospital and community care
- Intermediate Care Paramedic Level Pre-Hospital Care Program
- Valid Class 4 driver's license
- Registration or eligibility with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
- Clean driver's abstract
Support EMS and Collaborative Emergency Centre services through advanced assessment, treatment, transportation, and community care in Maidstone.
