About Planit Canada

Planit Canada is the trusted software partner for the woodworking industry. We empower Canadian manufacturers with smart, industry-leading technology like Cabinet Vision and Alphacam, and support them with a team of dedicated experts who help them grow.

About the Role

As a Technical Consultant, you’ll work with wood manufacturers across Canada — from small custom shops to large production facilities. Your job is to make sure their software setup reflects their real-world processes and positions them for success.

Your day-to-day
  • Leading new software implementations (Cabinet Vision or Alphacam)
  • Providing remote and on-site training sessions
  • Analyzing client workflows and advising on best practices
  • Building or customizing User Created Standards (UCSs), reports, and configurations
  • Supporting clients post-implementation as they grow into power users
  • Collaborating with the sales team during pre-sales scoping, demos, and onboarding planning
  • Understand the technical issues of the customers and propose adapted solutions
What You Bring

You're a natural problem solver and teacher. You know how things work in a shop, and you get excited about translating those processes into technology that saves time and improves accuracy.

Requirements
  • Experience in the wood manufacturing industry (cabinetry, millwork, closets, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Cabinet Vision or Alphacam, or other CAD/CAM systems
  • Strong technical aptitude and eagerness to learn new tools
  • Experience with CNC machinery, optimization, or production workflows
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to travel (within Canada), occasionally on short notice
  • Bilingual (French/English) is a strong asset, especially for supporting Quebec clients
Why Join Planit Canada?

We’re a people-first company — our culture is built on trust, collaboration, and a genuine desire to see each other and our clients succeed. We offer you the chance to do meaningful work, grow your technical skills, and help modernize an entire industry.
