Position Overview
This position offers you the opportunity to join our rapidly growing organization. We're looking for people with initiative, autonomy, and leadership ability to optimize both process and delivery around our Managed Service offerings, specifically workstation deployments.

As a Workstation Deployment Engineer, you are the engine behind our hardware lifecycle management. You will work in our centralized deployment center, ensuring that every laptop, desktop, and mobile device shipped to our clients is secure, standardized, and ready for immediate productivity.

You'll balance high-volume logistics with high-level engineering, moving between unboxing hardware and applying automated provisioning and deployment tools. This is a critical role for an MSP, as you are responsible for the "First Day Experience" of our clients' employees.

Responsibilities

Modern Provisioning:
Utilize tools such as Microsoft Autopilot and Intune to prepare client assets for production.

Custom Configuration:
Perform "white-glove" setups for clients with legacy requirements, including manual domain joins, specialized software installs, and peripheral testing.

Hardware Lifecycle:
Manage the end-to-end flow of hardware including receiving, unboxing, asset tagging, provisioning, repacking, and shipping.

Asset Management:
Maintain 100% accuracy in the Asset Management database (CMDB). Ensure serial numbers, warranty dates, and client assignments are updated in real-time.

Image Management:
Where Autopilot isn’t applicable, assist in maintaining and updating master images using MDT, WDS, or third-party imaging tools.

Quality Assurance:
Conduct final "Out of Box" audits to ensure all hardware (webcams, docks, monitors) is functional and all client-specific data is correctly migrated.
Decommissioning:
Manage the secure data destruction and e-waste process for retired client hardware.

Onsite Service:
Ability to travel to client locations to facilitate the deployment of hardware or other tasks. (

Note:

This is possible, but not common in this role.)

Available to work outside of standard hours when necessary or as part of on call rotation if applicable

Qualifications

CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification/education/experience.

1 year desktop support/imaging experience.

Experience setting up and configuring Windows and Mac operating systems.

Experience installing, troubleshooting and customizing Microsoft Office.

Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Entra.

Experience troubleshooting workstation hardware issues.

Experience in general PC hardware configuration including BIOS/UEFI, drivers, etc.

Ability to work independently to execute assigned tasks.

Ability to provide a high level of customer service.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Base Salary Range:  $40,000 to $50,000

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.

Thrive is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation practices for all employees and strive to provide competitive salaries that reflect the value and skills each team member brings to our organization. Salaries are determined according to the job's scope, market data, location, and the candidate’s qualifications, including experience and relevant education.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or any other legally protected status.
