Expert z​/OS Middleware Consultant

Become a critical player as an Expert z/OS Middleware Consultant, specializing in IBM CICS & MQ. This hybrid role is designed for professionals who excel at maintaining key middleware systems.

In this expert role, you will provide Level 3 support for z/OS middleware, focusing on optimizing performance in a high-traffic environment. Responsibilities include monitoring middleware health, conducting root-cause analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for upgrading systems and designing disaster recovery plans while mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced support for CICS and MQ issues

• Monitor and tune system performance

• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage access controls

• Lead incident resolution efforts and change activities

• Act as a subject matter expert for teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• 7+ years supporting IBM z/OS mainframe systems

• Deep understanding of CICS and MQ technologies

• Familiarity with RACF and security concepts

• Experience in high-volume, mission-critical environments
