Role OverviewThe Technical Consultant provides technical consulting for the implementation of Vistex’s cloud offering – Go‑to‑Market Suite®. The individual is responsible for setting up technical elements such as fields, data models, and file templates, executing data loads, developing customer‑specific enhancements, writing custom code with Vistex’s scripting tool, and testing. The role also includes creating interfaces with other systems using Web Services and APIs, learning the Vistex product, and supporting GTMS customer projects.
Responsibilities- Provide remote consulting services to customers implementing Vistex products and solutions, including some on‑site meetings.
- Translate custom enhancement requirements from functional consultants into design specifications.
- Execute design, configuration, and coding required for system interfaces.
- Prepare file templates and upload data into the GTMS system.
- Write and execute technical specifications for enhancements.
- Perform quality assurance on enhancements or business scripts built for the customer.
- Identify product and customer‑specific project issues and collaborate with product development to resolve them.
- Prepare and provide documentation to the customer for system support.
- Continuously learn and gain expertise on new and current Vistex products and solutions.
Base salary: $72,000 – $82,000 CAD, varying by location, skills, and experience. The compensation may also include incentive opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonuses. Vistex offers a comprehensive healthcare plan and paid time off, including volunteerism days.
Qualifications EducationRequired
:
Bachelor’s or better in Computer Engineering or related field.
Required
:
- 4–5 years of hands‑on ABAP experience.
- Participation in some SAP full‑lifecycle implementations.
- Independent thinking with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Fast learning ability for new software.
- Experience interfacing new systems such as SFDC, .NET middleware, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Adaptability to changing schedules and multiple work plans.
- Commitment to collaborating with offshore teams on project and product tasks.
- Knowledge of S4/HANA/AMDP/ODATA.
- Experience with Vistex knowledge or implementation.
