Position Summary The Scrum Master supports the delivery of the project deliverables by facilitating Agile practices, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and ensuring alignment between business, policy, and technical stakeholders. This role is responsible for enabling efficient delivery while supporting data migration, case management, fraud prevention, and governance requirements.
Responsibilities Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Remove delivery impediments related to legacy systems, policy constraints, and cross‑team dependencies.
Partner with Product Owners, Business SMEs, and Policy teams to ensure user stories reflect business and operational needs.
Lead backlog refinement and ensure features are ready for delivery.
Coordinate activities across Case Management, Data & Integration, and Integrity Services Branch (ISB) work streams.
Manage dependencies across teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support incremental releases.
Support release planning and feature sequencing to enable smooth implementation and minimal operational disruption.
Track delivery progress using Agile metrics and provide status reporting to leadership.
Prepare materials for governance forums, program reviews, and executive updates.
Ensure compliance with government standards, audit requirements, and documentation expectations.
Collaborate with Data & Integration teams on data readiness, migration planning, and integrity controls.
Work with ISB stakeholders to incorporate fraud detection, integrity controls, and case management workflows into delivery plans.
Requirements 10+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or similar role supporting complex transformation initiatives.
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, backlog management, and iterative delivery.
Demonstrated expertise in migration planning, fraud detection, and integrity controls.
Proficiency in dependency management, delivery tracking, and Agile metrics.
Proven ability to coordinate multiple work streams, stakeholders, and competing priorities.
Experience supporting governance, executive reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
Strong facilitation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency with Agile tools such as Azure Dev Ops, Jira, or similar platforms.
Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent) and public sector experience are considered assets.
