Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc.

The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role

We’re looking for a Unit Claims Manager, Property, to join our growing team in the Mississauga office!

What you'll do here:
Contribute to the achievement of corporate and regional objectives by measuring the performance of his or her team, ensuring the quality of claims processing, the level of compliance with standards, procedures and productivity.
Manage the activities of his/her team by organizing, planning and controlling the optimal use of human, financial and material resources according to the budget, while promoting teamwork and providing technical training.
Participate in the improvement of operational processes.
Make decisions for his/her team regarding the processing of claims and the payment of indemnities in accordance with company standards.
Promote the brand image and business principles to partners.
Conduct active file hearings throughout the year.

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 3 years of experience as a Property Adjuster
Prior team management experience is an asset
Strong knowledge of personal and commercial lines insurance
Excellent computer skills and knowledge
Cares about people
Bilingual in French and English is an asset
