Position: Permanent Full-Time Translator in Nain
Location: Central Labrador (Happy Valley-Goose Bay)

Pursue a career with Nunatsiavut Government as a Permanent Full-Time Interpreter/Translator Trainee in Nain, NL. Focus on developing your translation expertise in Inuttitut and English.

In this full-time role, you will engage in translating and proofreading tasks, guided by the Interpreter Translator Coordinator. Your time will include attending workshops and government meetings to refine your interpreting skills. Excellent organization and interpersonal skills will support your success in this collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance translation skills through practical document work

• Attend interpreting assemblies for experiential learning

• Join workshops provided by the Language and Culture department

• Assist with additional duties as required

• Work closely with team coordinators for training

Requirements:

• Fluent to intermediate Inuttitut proficiency

• Completion of high school diploma

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skill set

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Bilingualism in English and Inuktitut is an advantage
