Shape the future of juvenile law as a Senior Appellate Attorney with the State of Minnesota in St. Paul. This leadership role drives compliance and effective case management for the agency.
The Office of Appellate Counsel and Training is hiring a Managing Appellate Attorney to lead its efforts in appellate representation. You will supervise a team of attorneys, ensuring quality legal practices and compliance with the law. Your leadership will be pivotal in developing educational opportunities for legal professionals across the state.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of the appellate representation program
• Manage attorney responsibilities and case priorities
• Oversee legal analysis and compliance with child welfare laws
• Collaborate with the Training Director for ongoing training
• Ensure effective processes and practice standards are established
Requirements:
• Juris Doctorate (JD) and a valid Minnesota law license
• Three years of hands-on legal experience in family law
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on teamwork
• Proficiency in time management and organization
• Deep understanding of relevant juvenile protection legislation
