Your Part in ItWe currently have an opening for an Ocean Import Coordinator to join our Ocean Import department at Traffic Tech Headquarters in Montreal, Quebec. We are looking for someone who is responsible for making sure the movement of freight across the globe is coordinated and executed successfully according to our customer's needs. Your work will support our growing international team.

OCEAN IMPORT COORDINATORWhat the Job EntailsCoordinate and monitor incoming ocean freight shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.Handle all necessary import documentation, including bills of lading, customs clearance forms, and other regulatory paperwork.Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth import operations.Proactively track shipments and provide status updates to customers, addressing any delays or issues that arise.Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.Work closely with customs brokers to facilitate clearance processes and resolve any issues related to import documentation or duties.Update internal systems with shipment details, ensuring all information is recorded accurately for reporting and tracking purposes.Identify and address any discrepancies, delays, or problems related to ocean imports, working proactively to find solutions.Collaborate with internal departments to provide customers with accurate quotes, shipment details, and post-shipment support.Work with systems such as Cargo Wise and Microsoft Office Suite to manage shipment data, generate reports, and ensure process efficiency.What We Are Looking For2+ years of experience in ocean import, freight forwarding, or logistics.Knowledge of international freight documentation processes is an asset.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and carriers.Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Cargo Wise or other logistics software is an asset.Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.Fluency in both English and French is required.What We OfferRobust industry with training and mentorshipCompensation package that includes Medical and Dental benefitsLife Insurance/AD&D InsuranceLong-term disabilityPersonal and Volunteer time offFree parking, bistro, gym, and free coffee all day!Dynamic environment and ‘can-do’ cultureFree shuttle to and from Fairview terminusThis is a full-time permanent position from Monday to Friday
