We are looking for a person with an upbeat attitude, motivated, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills to join our team as the Janitor for our Administration, Cultural and Operations & Maintenance Buildings, in the community of La Ronge. About the position: Working 7.5-hour shift, some overtime may be required. This position is responsible for the provision of general janitorial duties. The main goal is to ensure that our buildings meet Health & Safety Standards and Occupational Safety Standards.

Duties:

  • Ensure Occupational Health & Safety Standards are met;
  • Will perform and maintain janitorial services inside and outside of the buildings/facilities.
  • Maintain sanitation of the buildings and grounds;
  • Order supplies and keep track on inventory control;
  • Maintain the clinic/facility in an appropriate and cost-effective manner;
  • Must be able to follow a Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Seasonal check list;
  • Qualifications:

    Minimum Grade 10;
    Pervious Janitorial experience is an asset;

    Certification in WHMIS and First Aide & CPR is an asset (or will to obtain);

    Willing to learn new skills and take further training as required;

    Must be able to work independently, self-directed and demonstrate organizational skills;

    Basic Computer Skills;

    Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset;

    Knowledge of Woodland Cree Language, Culture and Traditional an asset;

    Ability to speak/understand Cree is an asset;

    Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.
