Overview
The Community Services department is searching for a Facility Attendant for our Multi-Recreation Centre. We are seeking a dynamic, customer-oriented, energetic individual to join our team.
Salary$18.72 - $23.59 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Greets facility users in a friendly, welcoming manner.
- Maintain Multi Rec Centre and area to industry and/or legislated standards.
- Assist in providing a clean and welcoming facility, including janitorial tasks.
- Operate all the appropriate equipment and perform related duties in accordance with the manufacturer’s operator manuals and the Town's policies and procedures.
- Perform maintenance on equipment as required.
- Health and Safety:
Must adhere to all safety standards under the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation, Town Policies and Procedures and WHMIS Guidelines. For specific responsibilities of this position, refer to the Town’s Health and Safety Policy, Section 2 – Responsibilities for CAO, Directors, Supervisors and Workers. - Perform other duties as assigned.
- Assist with Parks maintenance, repairs and waste removal.
- Ability to operate small equipment safely and efficiently.
- Possession of an Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR is an asset.
- Good interpersonal skills in working with co-workers and the public.
- Good flexibility, self-initiative, independence, office, and organizational skills.
- Proven productivity and reliability.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Willing to work in inclement weather.

Working Conditions and Physical Environment- Exerts moderate physical effort on occasion.
- Works in all types of environments – closed spaces, chemical storage areas, building system rooms, ice surfaces, etc.
- May work alone.
- Work in high noise levels.
- Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, and crouching as the job may require.
