Position: Fort Chipewyan Summer Student Role
Location: Fort Chipewyan

Explore hands-on work with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as a Summer Student Labourer in Fort Chipewyan. Contribute to local municipal upkeep while gaining significant practical experience this summer.

This role is a two-month seasonal opportunity within the Rural Operations of the Indigenous & Rural Relations Department. You'll engage in vital community maintenance including cleaning facilities and operating small tools. Local applicants will be prioritized for this important position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain all assigned municipal facilities

• Operate small equipment and perform manual tasks

• Collaborate with team members on various tasks

• Follow safety procedures strictly and consistently

• Support general labour efforts to meet community needs

Requirements:

• Recent high school graduates or current students eligible

• Enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution for Fall 2026

• Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors

• Dependable, reliable, and safety-conscious

• Speaking Cree or Dene is a beneficial asset
