Position: Janitorial Staff for Local School

Become a vital part of your local school’s maintenance team as a Janitor under the CUPE Collective Agreement. Perform diverse janitorial tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment.

We are seeking a dedicated individual committed to maintaining cleanliness and safety within our school. You will work under the guidance of the Assistant Custodial Supervisor, applying modern cleaning practices with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities include daily cleaning, supply management, and safety compliance to create a healthy space for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean all assigned areas daily following established standards

• Maintain adequate supplies for cleaning tasks

• Report any damages or safety hazards promptly

• Secure the building by locking doors and activating security systems

• Conduct floor care duties, including stripping and waxing

Requirements:

• Physically able to perform janitorial tasks

• Knowledge of modern cleaning methods

• Ability to recognize safety hazards

• Compliance with health and safety regulations

• Provide a Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry form
