FUNCTION & RESPONSABILITIES

The Maintenance Foreman Assistant is responsible for the maintenance of the all NHB buildings in the community. Under the supervision of the Foreman and Maintenance Coordinator, as a foreman assistant you must plan and coordinate the work of the maintenance staff to ensure that the corrective, preventive and building health check (BSI) maintenance program is applied to NHB housing units and to ensure that these assets are maintained in a safe and reasonable manner.

More specifically, the employee has the following functions;
Reporting to the Maintenance coordinator, in close collaboration with the Maintenance Foreman the Foreman Assistant will ensure that all operations are conducted in a respectful and responsible way, ensuring that all decisions and actions comply with the relevant policies and procedures.

The Foreman Assistant is responsible for the “day to day” repair and maintenance of NHB buildings. He/She must supervise and lead maintenance staff (up to 10) in an effective manner and ensure the level of morale is maintained. He/She must also respond to concerns and complaints of tenants in a positive and courteous manner.

NHB offers a competitive salary, northern benefits and interesting working conditions. The minimum starting salary is $27.61 and could be more based on the evaluation of experiences related.
