Take on the vital role of School Janitor, tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our educational facilities under the CUPE Collective Agreement. Your work will support a healthy learning environment.

We are in search of a physically capable janitor willing to perform a range of cleaning and maintenance tasks in our school. Reporting to the Assistant Custodial Supervisor, you will ensure that all assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly and safely. Key duties will include supply management, reporting issues, and adhering to the school’s safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete daily cleaning of designated areas to standards

• Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and available

• Note and report any incidents or damage

• Secure all access points when vacating the premises

• Perform floor maintenance and snow control as needed

Requirements:

• Must be physically able to perform required tasks

• Knowledgeable about effective cleaning methods

• Capable of identifying potential safety hazards

• Compliance with health and safety regulations required

• Provide a background check for employment
