Position: Join CVRD as Utilities Operator
Location: Central Island (Chemainus)

Become a Utilities Operator I or II with CVRD and ensure efficient operation of vital municipal water systems. Full-time role with substantial impact on community services.

This position involves collaborating with the Utility Operations Manager and Senior Operator while ensuring the routine upkeep of water and wastewater systems. Candidates will bring their expertise in water management and compliance with regulatory standards. Experience or certification enhances community service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of water distribution and treatment

• Conduct routine system maintenance and inspections

• Respond promptly to emergencies or infrastructure issues

• Work alongside colleagues to enhance operational efficiency

• Maintain compliance with safety standards and training

Requirements:

• Diploma in Water/Wastewater Management

• EOCP certifications for respective roles

• At least one to five years of relevant experience

• Class 5 BC Drivers' Licence is required

• Must have relevant safety certifications
