Location: Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands

Join The Loomex Group as an Aerodrome Operations Specialist at Detour Lake Mine Airport in Northeastern Ontario.

Your role will focus on daily airport operations, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

As part of your responsibilities, you will execute key operational tasks that meet Transport Canada standards, manage wildlife control, and oversee maintenance activities using various equipment. This position operates on a unique 14-days-on, 14-days-off schedule, providing ample work-life balance while contributing to airport effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Directly report to the aerodrome supervisor

• Implement emergency response and wildlife management plans

• Operate heavy machinery for maintenance tasks

• Execute airport security and safety inspections

• Assist in aerodrome advisory services

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 secondary education

• Valid criminal record check

• Experience in heavy equipment operation

• Proficient written and verbal communication

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
