Maintenance Technician at Payukotayno

Payukotayno is hiring a Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety and functionality of facilities in multiple locations, including Moose Factory and Cochrane. Your hands-on skills will contribute to a welcoming environment for all.

In this team member role, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, addressing minor repairs, and ensuring safe operations across various properties. Collaboration with staff and participation in agency events reflect the organization’s commitment to culturally safe practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect building interiors and exteriors for hazards

• Execute minor repairs and fixture replacements

• Oversee seasonal snow removal and grounds maintenance

• Ensure clear walkways and safe equipment usage

• Collaborate during staff debriefs and maintain logs

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Proven experience in maintenance or repair services

• Familiarity with safety protocols and basic tools

• Capacity to lift heavy items as needed

• Access to a vehicle and compliance with agency policies
