Location: Lake Cowichan

Become a Casual Utility Worker with Cowichan Valley Regional District at Cowichan Lake Recreation. Engage in a variety of maintenance tasks, from ice maintenance to weld repairs.

This casual, on-call role works under the guidance of the Facility Operations Manager. You'll be responsible for a range of skilled and semi-skilled duties in facility maintenance. Flexibility in your availability for shifts during evenings and weekends is a must to meet operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform ice maintenance and facility cleaning

• Carry out plumbing, painting, and flooring tasks

• Work on refrigeration and electrical systems

• Assist with carpentry and mechanical projects

• Follow safety protocols to maintain facility standards

Requirements:

• High School graduation or equivalent work experience

• Minimum one year in recreational facility maintenance

• WHMIS certification provided by employer

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License

• Basic First Aid and Safety Awareness certifications
