Laundry Worker Position at PHH

Location: Port Hardy

Help maintain hygiene at Port Hardy Hospital as a Laundry Worker. In this role, perform essential laundry and cleaning functions to support health and safety standards.

Port Hardy Hospital is currently looking for a Laundry Worker for casual assignments. Responsibilities include operating laundry machinery and executing various heavy cleaning tasks under supervision. Candidates need a Grade 10 education and ideally a year of experience in a commercial or industrial laundry context.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive cleaning, including mopping and waxing floors

• Collect soiled laundry, manage waste disposal

• Utilize non-domestic washers and dryers effectively

• Wash walls, windows, and ceilings as required

• Maintain high cleanliness standards across the facility

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 10 education with relevant experience

• Preferably one year of work in commercial laundry

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to interact effectively with various individuals

• Capable of fulfilling physical demands of the role
