Eastend School Custodian - Part Time

Help maintain a safe and clean environment at Eastend School by joining the Chinook School Division as a part-time Custodian. This role is essential for student well-being.

Chinook School Division is hiring a part-time Custodian to support its schools, emphasizing safety and cleanliness for nearly 6,000 students. Working from 2pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance. Successful candidates will demonstrate good physical condition and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect facilities daily while in use

• Handle special cleaning duties during school closures

• Perform minor repairs as needed for upkeep

• Use mechanical equipment for cleaning tasks

• Carry out outdoor maintenance and snow removal

Requirements:

• Preferred:
Grade 12 diploma or GED

• Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR and WHMIS

• Understanding of cleaning processes and tools

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Capability to lift and move heavy objects
