Academic and Residential Building Technician

Location: Grand Rapids

Take on the vital role of Building Services Technician focused on cleanliness and safety at Calvin University. This position involves maintaining public and residential spaces for students.

As a Building Services Technician, you’ll clean public areas and restrooms, respond to special project requests, and ensure adequate cleaning supplies. You may also assist with academic buildings during busy semesters, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and communication skills. Attention to detail is critical in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain all public spaces and restrooms

• Address special cleaning requests promptly

• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment

• Maintain and care for cleaning tools and report issues

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Certificate from a college or technical school preferred

• No prior experience necessary; commercial experience is helpful
