Maintenance Planner Supervisor Elko Sawmill

Location: East Kootenays (Fernie)

Lead preventative maintenance planning at Canfor’s Elko sawmill in British Columbia, using mechanical problem-solving and people leadership. Safety remains your highest priority.
As Maintenance Planner Supervisor, you will balance production, maintenance, and team needs at a technically complex sawmill. The position focuses on executing maintenance programs, supporting employees, and driving operational success. You will coordinate planned work while maintaining standards for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan daily and weekly preventative maintenance work lists
Plan and implement project work lists and duties
Coordinate crew work to meet maintenance and production targets
Ensure preventative maintenance programs are followed within budget
Provide direction and support to employees
Requirements:
Substantial experience scheduling maintenance across multiple trades
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational skills in changing business conditions
Knowledge of electronic maintenance programs considered an asset
Interprovincial Trade Qualification considered an asset
