Industrial janitorial work requires sanitation expertise and safe floor equipment operation in a manufacturing environment with loud noise and varied temperatures.
Under the Shift Supervisor, this position maintains internal and external plant cleanliness, service, and sanitation. Duties include trash disposal, recycling, restroom cleaning, floor care, supply inventory, and hazard reporting. The role supports BRC Food Safety, GMPs, HARA principles, and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and dispose of facility trash and recyclables
- Clean offices, restrooms, cafeterias, rooms, lobbies, and outside areas
- Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and polish floors
- Maintain walkways, including snow and ice removal
- Report plant hazards and reorder janitorial supplies
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of janitorial experience
- Operate floor polishers, scrubbers, and snow blowers
- Understand GHS instructions and safety practices
- Lift or move up to 50 pounds frequently
