Keep remote camp facilities clean and functional as a Utility Janitor in Moosonee, Ontario, working a two weeks on, two weeks off schedule.
Dexterra Group seeks a Utility Janitor to support the Lodge Manager and Maintenance Lead. You will maintain common areas, washrooms, offices, dorms, and camp laundry while assisting with maintenance tasks. Transportation is provided from designated locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize camp common areas and public washrooms
Collect garbage, recycling, and dorm waste daily
Manage laundry collection and distribution throughout camp
Perform snow removal, floor care, and planned utility checks
Troubleshoot utility issues and assist directed maintenance tasks
Requirements:
Valid C license, or G license willing to obtain C Class
Experience using light power tools
Ability to work independently and remain on task
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
Support Dexterra Group’s camp operations through janitorial care, utility troubleshooting, maintenance assistance, and dependable transportation support.
