Kativik Regional Government Airport Manager

Location: Kuujjuaq

Step into a critical role as the Assistant Director Operations at Kativik Regional Government's Transportation Department. This position demands a strong background in aviation management for effective airport operations.

In this permanent full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing operations at all 14 airports in Nunavik. Your duties include ensuring compliance with safety standards, managing staff, and implementing operational procedures. The role also involves working closely with other departments and monitoring key performance indicators to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure operational compliance and safety at 14 airport locations

• Facilitate relationships with local airport stakeholders

• Develop effective operational plans and service procedures

• Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics

• Provide continuous mentoring and support to airport managers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or significant airport management experience

• Minimum five years in airport operations with leadership experience

• Familiarity with multi-site airport management considered beneficial

• Understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations is a plus

• Must have a valid driver’s license and bilingual skills
