We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team at a busy fish processing plant in New Brunswick. This is a full-time, day shift position. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing processing equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on processing and production equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Inspect machinery and equipment to identify issues and prevent breakdowns
- Repair or replace defective components including motors, belts, bearings, conveyors, and other equipment parts
- Maintain refrigeration and plant utility systems as required
- Complete maintenance logs and documentation accurately
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and plant procedures
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
- Work collaboratively with production and sanitation teams
- Previous experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or in a similar role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred
- Knowledge of industrial equipment, conveyors, pumps, and production machinery
- Basic understanding of electrical systems considered an asset
- Ability to work in a cold and wet environment typical of a fish plant
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Must be available for full-time day shift hours
