Technical Development Technologist

Salary Range: $81,000.00 To $87,000.00 Annually

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Technical Development Technologist is responsible for improving existing processes and managing the implementation of new processes, equipment, and materials. This role supports the production and maintenance teams, drives continuous improvement, and leads new product development projects in the production environment.

• Implement new processes, equipment, and materials.
• Recommend improvements to production processes or equipment.
• Support training and creation of SOPs and guides.
• Evaluate production metrics and KPIs and make recommendations.
• Assist in troubleshooting processing and equipment issues.
• Provide technical support across all Armtec branches.

• Over 5 years of full‑time work experience in corrugated pipe manufacturing.
• Over 20 years of full‑time work experience in a plastics production environment.
• Qualification in polymer technologies.
• Extensive knowledge of polymer processes and materials.
• Previous experience in project management with a proven cost‑saving track record.
• Experience with injection‑moulding process is an asset.
