Experienced Welder Fitter at DECAST

Location: Dawson City

Join DECAST as an Experienced Welder Fitter in Utopia, ON, and play a vital role in our advanced manufacturing facility. Your expertise in steel and metal assembly will be crucial for our infrastructure products.

In this role, you will report to the Production Supervisor and be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and fitting metal components based on engineered drawings. Utilize your strong mechanical skills and attention to detail to meet project specifications and deadlines while maintaining safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setup and operate MIG, plasma, torch, and hand tools

• Fabricate and fit new formwork to specifications

• Repair existing formwork and maintain tools

• Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings

• Ensure safety compliance during all operations

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of welding experience

• CWB Ticket required

• Strong blueprint interpretation skills

• Ability to work both individually and in teams

• Overhead crane and rigging experience
