Plant Quality Manager

Position: Plant Quality Manager at High Liner Foods
Location: Garden Lots

Lead food safety and quality initiatives as the Plant Quality and Food Safety Manager at High Liner Foods in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Ensure compliance and high standards in production and sanitation.

This essential leadership role directly reports to the Director of Corporate Food Safety & Quality. You will spearhead the quality assurance and sanitation teams, overseeing HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and all food safety programs. Partnering with various departments, you will foster a culture of excellence and maintain audit readiness while driving operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee Quality Assurance and Sanitation Departments’ daily operations

• Implement and verify all food safety programs

• Manage the non-conformance process and corrective actions

• Lead regulatory audits and ensure compliance

• Coach and develop team members for high performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Food Science or related field

• 7+ years in food manufacturing quality and safety

• Strong knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and FSMA

• Proven leadership managing unionized teams

• Excellent communication and analytical skills
