Job Details
Position Title:
Assembler
Department: Production
Location:
Nobleford, AB
Responsibilities
Assemble materials according to SOPs, SWIs and product specifications using engineering drawings
Operate hand tools within the department
Review finished parts to ensure accuracy against drawings
Test (air or mechanical) product to ensure functional capabilities
Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements (i.e., continual improvements)
Review finished assemblies & parts to ensure accuracy against drawings & BOMs
Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions as required
Operate overhead crane and jib crane (if applicable)
Work in confined space and at heights requiring a fall arrest system (if applicable)
Cross train in powder coating and blasting (if applicable)
Ensure quality checks of products are completed as required
Complete required PMs and calibrations for machines and tools
Report any quality concerns to lead hand
Complete job orders using Kanban cards and job orders properly (if applicable)
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Demonstrate a positive attitude towards change and company vision
Be proactive in requirements regarding material, tool and inventory needs
Keep work area clean
Keep up with production demand
Perform touch quality checks (TQCs)
Meet defined production schedule deadlines
Read and follow blueprints to ensure quality assemblies
Follow safety policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Attention to detail
Ability to handle repetitive tasks
Work well with others and independently
Able to communicate effectively with supervisor and colleagues
Able to work in fast‑paced environment handling heavy loads and standing for long periods of time
Problem‑solving and communication skills
Ability to read, understand and follow blueprints
Ability to read and interpret a tape measure
Basic mathematics (addition, subtraction)
Basic English language skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to distinguish colours
Exemplary attendance record
Able to operate overhead crane, jib crane and forklift (if applicable)
