Job Description Posted Monday, August 10, 2026 at 4:00 AM
Join Weber Manufacturing Technologies Inc., a trailblazer since 1962! Based in Midland, Ontario, we began by mastering precision tooling in the Automotive industry and have since revolutionized it with our groundbreaking Nickel Vapor Deposition (NVD) technology. In 1989, we pioneered the Nickel Tooling Technology Division, selling our first NVD nickel shell in 1991.
By 2000, we were the only ones in the world running our own NVD operations onsite. We took the automotive world by storm, producing molds for luxury cars like Mercedes-Benz using our exclusive NVD technology. Our acquisition by Zynik Capital Corp. in 2007 further fueled our innovation and growth.
In 2008, we reshaped the fiberglass entry door market with our unique MASTER GRAIN™ brand, capturing intricate details in woodgrain like no other technology. Today, we’re not just about doors; we’re shaping luxury automotive, aerospace, and building products globally with our state-of-the-art NVD technology. Be part of a team that’s redefining industries and pushing boundaries!
Chemical Process Operator (NVD Operator)

In this role, you ll be part of a dedicated crew responsible for monitoring the production process and environmental controls within our NVD chemical facility. The work is hands-on and physical — from preparing molds for processing to operating equipment that packages nickel powder — and combines mechanical process operations with environmental compliance. It s ideal for someone who enjoys precision, active problem solving on the floor, and being part of a tight-knit operational team.
What You ll Do
Prepare molds for processing and for the next stage of production
Operate equipment used to process and package nickel powder
Monitor and operate our Nickel Vapour Deposition chemical process
Oversee environmental controls and ensure compliance within the facility
Work collaboratively within a dedicated crew on a rotating shift schedule
Complete a comprehensive 3-month training program to fully master the process, including safety protocols for working with nickel and other chemical materials
What We re Looking For
Experience or educational background in a mechanical capacity
College Diploma or University Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Water/Wastewater Resources
Chemical safety awareness, particularly around handling nickel and related materials, is an asset
Strong written and oral communication skills
Comfort working in a technical, process-driven, physically active environment
What We Offer
A shortened work week: 12-hour shifts on a 7-day rotation (14 shifts over 28 days) — more days off to enjoy your life outside of work
A competitive benefits package
Paid, structured 3-month training program to set you up for success
The opportunity to work with cutting-edge chemical coating technology in a stable, established manufacturing company
Weber Manufacturing Technologies is proud to be part of the Midland community, offering a rewarding, technical career path for individuals who want to combine chemical/mechanical knowledge with real, hands-on production work.
