The  Sanitation Associate (NIGHTS)  in production is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant production environment through the cleaning and sanitization of production areas, equipment, and tools. This role supports product quality, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety by following established sanitation, Quality Assurance (QA), Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the facility meets cleanliness, quality, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting the production of safe, compliant cannabis products.

Position Overview

Participate in the cleaning and sanitization of production areas of the facility according to Sanitation, QA and HSE SOPs and work instructions

Prevent cross contamination of product, equipment and product contact surfaces while performing sanitation duties

Work safely with hazardous chemicals and cleaning agents being used – ensure to follow all safety procedures on site including donning of all appropriate PPE (respirator, goggles, etc.

Maintain all sanitation tools and equipment.

Participate in the cleaning and sanitization of production equipment

Prepare cleaning solutions

Ensure timely batch record completion with high accuracy.

Provide training, support and verification of work for all external sanitation employees as required.

Promote and enforce Health and Safety regulations and policies

Maintain cleaning and sanitation logs

Ensure 100% compliance with QA requirements during day-to-day activities

Managing waste in accordance with the Cannabis Act and all other local applicable guidelines

Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience working in a sanitation role within a regulated environment preferred.

Previous experience working with cleaning chemicals and agents preferred

Ability to read and correctly interpret documents such as safety rules, regulations, and safety data sheets

Strong ability to prioritize tasks in order to achieve daily sanitation requirements

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 25 lbs

Previous work experience with a Canadian Licensed Producer (LP) or knowledge of the Cannabis Act, GPP and GMP is an asset

Must be able to work various shift schedules as required

Must be able to don all required PPE (respirators, goggles, etc.)

SCHEDULE

4 shifts every week

Monday through to Thursday. Hours are 7:45pm – 6:45am (10 hours)

Breaks are to be broken up based on team needs and discussed with Supervisor/Manager.

Location:

Aylmer, Ontario. Role is required to be on site.
