The Process Steward/Sanitation Technician, Production will be responsible for executing routine cleaning and sanitation of production operations lines within a biologics manufacturing facility. Will have the highest regard for safety, excellence and quality. The Process Steward will be required to provide assistance to the Production Technicians and Supervisors, as well as working with the manufacturing team to maximize production efficiency and meet departmental and company goals.

Shift: Swing shift
12 hours days, 7 am to 7 pm weeks 1 and 212 hours nights, 7 pm to 7 am weeks 3 and 4

Ongoing rotational shift

Sanitizing and cleaning of an industrial clean room environment where pharmaceuticals are manufactured to include, duct work, manufacturing equipment, floors, walls and outdoor areas.

Operating manual and automated equipment.

Handling of hazardous materials including acids, bases, solvents, potent compounds, and APIs safely and properly.

Performing process sampling.

Collaborating with other departments on process and equipment training for successful completion of manufacturing batches.

Providing feedback to influence continuous improvements during the review and revision of Standard Operating Procedures and other process documentation.

Participating in BIOVECTRA's quality management system, focusing on the batch production records, work instructions, adherence to policies and standard operating procedures at all times

Assisting with housekeeping, equipment cleaning, general warehousing, material staging and tanker operations as required.

Will be required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while performing duties.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required.
0 to 2+ years’ experience.

Post secondary education with a diploma in an applicable area of study is considered an asset.

Industrial experience in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing FDA regulated environment would be considered a major asset.

WHMIS certification (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) and First Aid, would be considered a major asset.

Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) experience an asset.

Ability to follow strict standard operating procedures and excellent attention to details is required.

Ability to accurately weigh and measure chemical materials needed for the production of pharmaceutical products.

Ability to work and communicate effectively in a dynamic team environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong communicator, both written and oral.

Additional Details This job has a full time weekly schedule.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $17.10 - $29.93/hr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
