Location: Central Saskatchewan (Humboldt)

Responsibilities

Use existing work orders, work instructions and department procedures to complete weldments to an approved quality standard.

Read drawings in order to assemble parts in a fixture.

Produce welds in all positions and use tooling provided to produce high-quality weldments.

Follow the instructions of the supervisor to complete given tasks in preparation, tacking and welding.

Use other hand power tools such as angle grinders, drills, die grinders and oxy acetylene torches as required to complete tasks.

Detect minor defects in the parts being used or the completed component as well as minor defects in weld quality.

Ensure that equipment being used regularly is in good working order.

High school diploma or GED

On the job training

Required Skills/Experience

Minimum of 1-2 years MIG welding experience.

Ability to work independently.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Ability to read blueprints.

Willingness to learn new skills.

Wage Range
$22.65 - $45.56 – Starting wage is dependent on experience.
