We seek a skilled Machine Operator for our planing mill to operate and manage machinery in a noisy, dusty setting. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining operational efficiency.

As a candidate, you should possess a secondary school diploma and 1-2 years of experience in a related field. Your tasks will involve operating automated lumber mill equipment, setting up saws, and handling maintenance responsibilities. This physically demanding role requires good manual dexterity and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate lumber mill machinery from control stations

• Set up and adjust saw equipment for ideal operations

• Replace saw blades and bands as necessary

• Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed in all tasks

• Complete repetitive tasks with careful execution

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary education required

• 1-2 years of machine operating experience

• Physically fit to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

• Own steel-toed safety boots

• Flexible with working evening shifts
