Aircraft Assembly Prototyping Technician

Build autonomous electric aircraft in Alameda through hands-on assembly, prototyping, and systems integration work with Pyka. Precision tools and practical troubleshooting guide daily work.

Pyka seeks an Assembly and Prototyping Technician for a cross-functional hardware role. You will assemble mechanical and electrical systems, build prototype components, troubleshoot issues, and support testing. The work may span fabrication, precision assembly, integration, maintenance, and repair across evolving projects.

• Assemble aircraft structures, components, and systems using precision tools
• Build, modify, fit, and iterate prototype parts
• Install and test actuators, sensors, wiring, and connectors
• Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues
• Provide engineers feedback on fit and manufacturability

• Hands-on technical build, assembly, fabrication, maintenance, or repair experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting interest
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to follow drawings and technical instructions
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
