Location: Victoria
Engage in impactful climate action as a Community Climate Action Mobilizer with Youth Climate Corps BC in Victoria, BC. This temporary position offers hands-on experience in community programs and environmental stewardship.
Ideal candidates are youth aged 17-30 with a passion for climate justice and community development. You’ll collaborate 2–3 days each week with the BC Parks Foundation on conservation efforts and explore future programming opportunities. Strong relationship management and adaptability are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support biodiversity and ecosystem stewardship activities
• Conduct community mapping and outreach for programs
• Help with ecological surveys and environmental monitoring
• Assist in habitat restoration and public engagement tasks
• Document insights for future programming initiatives
Requirements:
• Aged 17 to 30 years at application
• Resident of Victoria or immediate surroundings
• Flexibility in working hours, including weekends
• Committed to climate action and social equity
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
