Camp Executive Director in British Columbia

Location: Central Okanagan and High Country (Revelstoke)

Shape the future of Camp Koolaree and Mac Kenzie Camp as an Executive Director, focusing on operations, community outreach, and summer ministry development. This two-year role encourages flexible work across the Okanagan and Kootenays.

You will spearhead initiatives to revitalize camp activities, ensuring operations align with the United Church’s ethos. Working in collaboration with the camp boards, you'll develop and implement strategic plans to engage the community while fostering leadership among staff.

Your role will be vital in creating inclusive, spiritually enriching summer programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee camp operations and compliance with policies

• Collaborate to enhance recruitment and onboarding of staff

• Design inclusive summer programs aligned with camp values

• Build relationships with community partners and churches

• Mentor staff to cultivate an inclusive culture of care

Requirements:

• Experience in camp management or ministry leadership

• Deep understanding of the United Church of Canada

• Outstanding communication and team collaboration skills

• Willingness to travel and work flexibly

• Valid driver’s license required
